The tasks of the centre include:
- Development and implementation of inter- and transdisciplinary research and development projects,
- coordination, promotion and monitoring of research activities, such as support in the application and acquisition of third-party funding, as well as in the organisation and management of research projects,
- mutual transfer of knowledge between science and practice as well as society,
- organisation of scientific symposia, workshops and workshops
- Presentation of research results at trade fairs, conferences and on the Internet,
- maintaining contacts with non-university networks, such as universities, companies, institutions, associations, etc.,
- Qualification of young academics by linking them to research activities,
- Further development of the topic-related research infrastructure.
Experience has been gained and competences formed in the above-mentioned areas through numerous projects. All members of the university are invited to participate. Interdisciplinary, cross-departmental projects in particular are supported and supervised.
Third-party funded research
The iZT is actively involved in third-party funded projects. Taking into account the funding criteria, the iZT participates in regional, national and international research programmes. The iZT acts both as an applicant and project coordinator, as well as an active project member.
