Regional networking
The Fulda Regional Innovation Centre for Health and Quality of Life (RIGL-Fulda) has passed since 2018 as a central academic facility of Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
RIGL-Fulda is based on the transfer project "Supporting Health and Quality of Life - Innovative Model Region Fulda", which Fulda University of Applied Sciences carried out as a networked partner in the region as part of the federal-state initiative "Innovative University" from 2018 to 2022 with a sponsorship volume of around 10 million euros.
With over 130 cooperation partners from the fields of politics, business and civil society, it was the largest transfer project at Fulda University of Applied Sciences to date.
Our task
The tasks of the centre pass to support the transfer of knowledge, ideas and technologies as well as interdisciplinary research and development in the field of health and quality of life. The overarching goal is to implement sustainable measures for the funding of health and quality of life in a participatory manner with regional stakeholders and to expand collaboration between the university and the region.
Innovation for the region
Fulda University of Applied Sciences and its cooperation partners worked together to develop innovative solutions based on specific regional needs in order to improve regional development in the area of health and quality of life. On this basis, a large network of regional practical placement partners and extensive expertise in knowledge and technology transfer was created. Fulda University of Applied Sciences thus strengthened its strategic role in the Fulda region and expanded internal university structures and processes for the management and coordination of transfer activities in the field of health and quality of life.
The RIGL has initiated numerous projects and will continue to pass after the federal-state initiative "Innovative University".
A sustainable concept is currently being developed, including a concrete orientation.
