Junior Researcher Conference "The Sustainability of Social Issues

on 31.01. and 01.02.2019, University Centre Fulda Transfer

Over the course of two days, almost 50 participants followed the exciting lectures and poster presentations at the 1st CeSSt Young Researchers Conference (in cooperation with the Social Work PhD Centre). The young researchers (from the University of Applied Sciences Fulda and the University of Kassel) presented the status and results of their research and answered questions and engaged in discussion with the other participants - co-providers, experienced researchers, colleagues and others interested in the topic.

If the idea of sustainability is to develop its full innovative power, the linking and anchoring of this idea with and in society is crucial. The focus is on the question of how and under what conditions social adaptations and changes can be shaped and permanently anchored.

In 14 lectures and 4 poster presentations, the young academics therefore addressed questions of intergenerational justice as a feature of social sustainability, gender justice as a feature of social sustainability, the international context of social processes, the profession and professionalism of social work and participation processes as a feature of social sustainability.
