The Centre for Society and Sustainability (CeSSt) and the Department of Social Work welcomed international guests to Fulda for two days in order to explore with them (and also with representatives from other departments of the University) common research interests and, building on this, possible research cooperations and to plan further joint steps.
The workshop entitled "Exchange on Research Activities between E³UDRES² Members" also dealt with the opportunities for cooperation offered by the European University Alliance E³UDRES² (Engaged and Entrepreneurial European University as Driver for European Smart and Sustainable Regions), to which Fulda University of Applied Sciences is expected to become a new partner from autumn 2023. The alliance aims to network rural (non-urban) regions and support their development into smart, sustainable regions. The focus is on the three research and action fields "Circular Economy", "Human Contribution to Artificial Intelligence" and "Well-being and Active Ageing".
In the last field of action in particular, the workshop participants saw many opportunities for research and teaching cooperation.
