The iZT team is made up of professors, research assistants and students. While a number of people are active in research projects, a small core team takes care of ongoing tasks such as project acquisition, networking, public relations and marketing, and transfer.

At the same time, the members of the iZT support the jointly defined goals and tasks through their suggestions and cooperation.

Most of the project team members are young researchers. The iZT supports them in gaining further academic qualifications, be it in the context of a doctorate, in teaching or through professional qualifications and further training for their future careers in science and practice.

Because externally funded projects are usually assigned to the department of the university where the professor leading the project is based, the project staff are also affiliated with that department.
