Friends of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences

Through the Association of Friends and Sponsors, we aim to support the skilled professionals of tomorrow during their higher education in Fulda, inspire them to take an interest in the region, and thereby encourage them to stay here in the long term. That is why we have been supporting Fulda University of Applied Sciences and its research and teaching facilities since our foundation in 2012.

We warmly invite enterprises, institutions, associations, instructors, students, employees and graduates to support us in our initiatives as part of the association’s work.

The Deutschlandstipendium

Half comes from the federal government, the other half from private sponsors: the Friends’ Association supports high-achieving and committed students through the Deutschlandstipendium.

1. Who is responsible for data processing and who can I contact?

2. For what purpose is my data processed?
The personal data of members provided in the membership application form, in particular their name, address and bank details, is collected by the association on the basis of a legal entitlement. Your personal data will be treated in a confidential manner and processed exclusively for the purposes of administration and organisation of your membership and contributions within the Friends’ Association, as well as for event management purposes, including the management of participant and waiting lists, sending out invitation letters, confirmation, reminder and information emails or letters, and for the internal evaluation of the Friends’ Association’s courses. On occasion, statistics may also be compiled from the data provided for the purposes of internal quality management. However, it is no longer possible to link these statistics to you personally.

3. On what legal basis is my data processed?
For the Friends’ Association, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR for the fulfilment of the association’s articles of association.

4. Who receives my data?
Data will be excluded from being passed on to third parties unless it is necessary in the context of event management for cooperations as specified above. Once the course has been completed, the data will be deleted immediately by the third parties.

5. How long will my data be stored?
Your personal datawill be stored by the Friends’ Association for the duration of your membership, unless it must be retained beyond the end of your membership in accordance with tax law requirements.

6. What data protection rights do I have?
Data protection law grants you the following rights: the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), the right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), the right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR) and the right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

7. Do I have to provide or update my data?
Providing andupdating your personal data is required for membership of the Friends’ Association. If you do not provide the necessary information, you cannot be admitted to the Friends’ Association.
