Professor Dr Philipp Seibert

Dr Philipp Seibert joined the team of professors in the Department of Food Technology in the winter semester of 2022/23. He has taken over the specialist field "Plant Food Technology".

Born in Fulda in 1981, the researcher obtained his degree in biotechnology in Lübeck, Stockholm and Dresden and his doctorate at the Bioinnovation Centre of the Technical University of Dresden. He also completed MBA studies at the Collège des Ingeniéurs in Paris.

After working in Switzerland as a business analyst in the field of healthcare compliance, Dr Seibert moved to the food industry to work for a manufacturer of infant nutrition and medical nutrition products. His positions there included head of division for quality control and QA manager. Before being appointed as a professor at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Dr Seibert worked for a management consultancy and managed several client projects with a focus on process optimisation and digitisation of research and development.
