Prof Dr Jonas Posner

Dr Jonas Posner has been appointed as a professor in the department of Applied Computer Sciences at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. He takes over the specialist field of operating systems and parallel processing. With this new appointment, Fulda University of Applied Sciences is strengthening the expansion of the department and consistently aligning it with current developments in teaching and research.

After training as a computer scientist, Jonas Posner studied computer science at the University of Kassel, where he trained for both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Immediately afterwards, he began working there as an academic research employee and obtained his doctorate in the field of high-performance computing with a specialisation in fault tolerance against permanent failures at application level. In his subsequent work as a post-doctoral student, he researched dynamic resource management with the aim of increasing the efficiency of supercomputers. In addition, Jonas Posner headed the specialist field of software engineering at the University of Kassel as an interim professor for one semester. Since October 2025, he has been a professor in the Department of Applied Computer Sciences at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
