for postdocs

After completing their doctorate, postdoctoral positions offer doctoral candidates the opportunity to deepen their specialist knowledge and gain further experience in research and teaching -with the aim of later working as a professor at a UAS university of applied sciences or a university.

The departments of Fulda University of Applied Sciences can create postdoc positions in two variants:

Variant I

This variant serves the purpose of acquiring additional social services: benefits: In this case, you would work exclusively at the university as a research assistant with a corresponding teaching load.

Variant II

The aim of this option is to gain professional experience outside the university: In this case, half of your time would be spent as an academic employee with a corresponding teaching load and the other half at a cooperating institution (enterprise, public authorities, etc.).

If you are interested in a postdoc position, there are two options:

• Please check the university's job offers regularly to see whether postdoc positions are being called for proposals.
• Please contact the research funding department at Fulda University of Applied Sciences for advice on funding options for postdocs.
