For citizens: The EUROPE DIRECT Centres

The EUROPE DIRECT information network of the European Committee informs citizens locally about the European Union. There are 50 EUROPE DIRECT centres throughout Germany, four of which are in Hesse. They represent an important interface between citizens and the EU at local level.

The EUROPE DIRECT Centres work together with other local, national and EU-wide information centres and networks. They provide information material - for example for schools and other educational institutions - and advise on various issues relating to the EU, e.g. scholarship programmes or current European policy issues with a local or regional focus.

The EUROPE DIRECT Information and Action Office at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences offers citizens the opportunity to learn more about the European Union and provides information about the opportunities for shaping EU policy.

  • Information materials on EU topics: Our wide range of information comprises materials on EU policy or the EU institutions as well as brochures suitable for children to explore (together).

  • Cooperation at subject and public events on European topics: We have the opportunity to arrange contacts with experts on European topics for courses.

  • Information on EU scholarship programmes.

  • Answers to questions about the EU and active support for your involvement and participation.

  • Networking with other Hessian EU advisory centres.
