EUROPE DIRECT
EU Information Centre

For citizens: The EUROPE DIRECT Centres

The EUROPE DIRECT information network of the European Committee informs citizens locally about the European Union. There are around 50 EUROPE DIRECT centres throughout Germany, four of which are in Hesse. They represent an important interface between citizens and the EU at local level.

The EUROPE DIRECT Centres work together with other local, national and EU-wide information centres and networks. They provide information material - for example for schools and other educational institutions - and advise on various issues relating to the EU, e.g. scholarship programmes or current European policy issues with a local or regional focus.

The work of the EUROPE DIRECT Information and Action Centre at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences has been taken over by EUROPE DIRECT NordOsthessen in Kassel since January 2026.
