EUROPE DIRECT Fulda took part in the kick-off day of the Intercultural Weeks Fulda on 14 September 2024. The Intercultural Week was launched by Christian churches in 1975 and has since been celebrated in more than 600 cities and communities across Germany. The aim is to provide a special framework for diversity, acceptance and intercultural exchange. This year, the event will take place from 14 September to 3 October 2024.

The motto of this year's Intercultural Week is "New Spaces!". It is about creating new spaces for dialogue and togetherness and protecting existing spaces. Our motivated team on site also contributed to this: At the well-attended event, EUROPE DIRECT was able to share information about Europe with visitors to the stand and also engage in dialogue about relevant European topics (such as democracy, coronavirus and the competitiveness of the EU). Promotional materials as well as educational and information brochures on how the European Union works were distributed. Around 100 people visited our stand during the day, including families with young children.

Right next to the stand was the stage, where dance groups, music bands and other (inter)cultural productions could be seen throughout the day.

We would like to thank everyone for their lively interest and stimulating discussions!
