With our study programmes, we aim to offer students professional, social and personal learning and development opportunities, to promote their sense of responsibility for their later professional activities, to encourage them to take a critical look at their activities and their social environment, and to prepare them for a reflected life in a complex world.
From our understanding of responsibility for the students, we consider an intensive supervisory relationship as well as the participation of the students to be important.
We understand our research activities as scientific elements of shaping social development, which we want to strengthen under the aspects of democracy, civil society and sustainability. At the same time, we reflect on the impact of science in a social context.
Professionalism in social responsibility also applies to the cooperation of all groups in the department: students, lecturers and staff. This cooperation is characterised by personal respect, tolerance, recognition of academic and professional achievements and constructive critical interaction.
