Areas of Research

Sociology of culture, language, and gender combined with qualitative methods of social research, especially Interactional Sociolinguistics, Ethnomethodological Conversation Analysis, Studies of Work.

The research projects focus primarily on moral, pedagogical and therapeutic communication, intercultural learning, e-learning/blended learning and intercultural communication, as well as communication in highly technical work fields and high-risk environments.
