DAAD Language Certificate
For the DAAD language certificate you can make an individual appointment at the Centre for Intercultural Language Practice. For English, please register by email with Mr Marek Liwoch: marek.liwoch(at)sk.hs-fulda.de. For other languages, please register with Sabine Kirschenhofer (Head of Language Centre): sabine.kirschenhofer(at)sk.hs-fulda.de.
According to the scale of fees, a fee of € 45,- is charged for taking the DAAD test. You will receive an invoice with your registration.
The language certificate shows your respective knowledge in the general and technical language areas of reading comprehension, written and oral expression, from category a (effortless use of language) to category f (extreme difficulties in expression and comprehension), as you can see from the language certificate form.
The English test takes about 45 minutes and consists of the following parts:
- Writing a motivational letter of at least 300 words.
- Reading of a subject-related text (reading time 20-30 minutes).
- Examination interview of 20-30 minutes in which you answer questions on the prepared subject-related text and the motivation letter.
The form of DAAD tests in other languages depends on the candidate's previous knowledge.
At the end of the test interview, you will be awarded the DAAD language certificate.
Early registration is advisable, as dates depend on the time available to the language lecturers.
