The Foreign Language Certificate is an optional study programme of the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences. It is open to students of all degree programmes.
For the Foreign Language Certificate, language courses amounting to 6 SWS must be taken in English, French or Spanish. The English foreign language certificate can be obtained in various subject languages. Compulsory courses in the subject language at least at level B2 can be recognised within the framework of the certificate programme on application.
After successful attendance of the certificate courses, participants receive the foreign language certificate at level B2 or C1 of the European Framework of Reference.
A prerequisite for participation in the certificate programme is good previous knowledge at the initial level of B2.1 in the respective language.
