Department heading

The Department of Social and Cultural Sciences maintains a number of cooperation agreements with universities abroad. Within the framework of these cooperation agreements, many students from the department, especially from the BA programme in Social Sciences with a focus on Intercultural Relations, spend a semester abroad. Conversely, students from our partner universities are welcome to apply for one or two semesters at our department. We strive to put together a study programme that meets the needs of the exchange students - whether they are still in their undergraduate studies or in their Master's programme, whether they already have some knowledge of German or not. A number of English-language courses, as well as German courses or other language courses, are put together in the International Studies Programme - especially for international guest students. Some of the courses are also open to interested students from the local degree programmes.
