My semester abroad
"Ciao a tutti! I'm Theresa and I'm doing a semester abroad at the Università degli Studi di Padova in Italy from February - July 2022 as part of my social work degree. Padova is a beautiful city in the north of Italy and is located between Verona and Venice.
The faculties of the Università degli Studi di Padova are spread throughout the city centre, which is why the whole city is characterised by university life. In Padova, it is not possible to study social work in the form that is possible in Fulda. Therefore, I was able to gain deeper insights into psychology this semester, which I found very interesting and important for my professional future. Due to the high number of students, there is a distinct offer for students and especially for Erasmus students, Padova has a lot to offer through the Erasmus Student Network. There are many events, excursions and trips, which makes it possible to make connections and get to know other Erasmus students in no time and enjoy the pleasant, sunny Italian weather.
Padova's ideal location made it possible to travel a lot and get to know the country and culture of Italy. I was able to visit other cities such as Florence, Rome, Naples, Palermo and Lake Garda during this time. I would always choose a semester abroad in Padova again and had a wonderful, unforgettable time there!"
