My semester abroad

Vicky studied at San Francisco State University, USA

"Hi! I'm Vicky & thanks to the university's partner programme, I was able to study on a typical US campus for a semester.

I spent my 4th semester at San Francisco State University and also got an insight into the welfare system in the States. In addition to the varied courses, students have the option of participating in numerous clubs and student societies, which allows them to get in touch with local students very quickly.

SFSU has implemented a hybrid system due to the pandemics, so I had in-person courses and online lectures, which made my schedule varied and somewhat flexible. This also allowed me to explore the country a bit or San Fran itself.

San Francisco is a beautiful city, each neighbourhood has its own characteristics and it is also worth exploring the surrounding area.

Within the city, it is super easy to get from A to B by public transport and you are never more than 30 minutes away from the nearest beach. Even the campus is on the coast, so it's easy to get to the beach before or after class.

If you like sunsets, SF is definitely the place to be. As long as it's not foggy, you have the most beautiful evenings on the beach here.

The semester abroad was definitely worth it and I would recommend everyone to spend a semester at a partner university overseas or through the Erasmus programme. If you have any questions, feel free to write to me! "
