The research focus is on the design of 'educational processes without segregation' as the basis for social participation of all children, young people and adults. Research also serves the quality assurance and further development of social work in the diverse fields of activity of formal and informal education and upbringing, such as

In critical orientation to the educational policy guiding idea of inclusion, there is exchange with integration research in the German-speaking and international areas.
