Formative project evaluation and scientific monitoring of "Aktion Diakonische Gemeinde: Armut bekämpfen und gesellschaftliche Teilhabe fördern" (Diaconal Community Action: Fighting Poverty and Promoting Social Participation)

Project management: Prof. Dr. habil. Monika Alisch
Research grant from the Evangelical Church of Kurhessen-Waldeck
Duration: 2014-15

Project description:
The formative evaluation focuses on projects within the framework of the project initiative "Diaconal Community - Combating Poverty". Seven locations were selected from 14 funded projects for exemplary evaluation. Qualitative social research methods are used to analyse the implicit and explicit interest orientations as well as the needs of the project participants (initiators and target groups of the local projects) in such a way that the respective results can be fed back into the project process. The accompanying research focuses on the sustainability of the developed projects and tries to work out success factors and obstacles of the project development in cooperation with the project participants.
