Project description:
The project focuses on gender-specific appropriation processes of residents of a disadvantaged urban district. The special needs and orientations of women as those who organise the various demands of family members at the place of residence are usually ignored by urban planning, sociological urban research as well as in social space-oriented social work.

The aim of the project is to use the example of a medium-sized town, with the help of qualitative social research methods, to inquire into the appropriation strategies, around the framework conditions experienced as barriers by women, in order to develop participation methods tailored to women.
