Writing Night 2016
Longer, more beautiful, deeper
Longer, more beautiful, deeper into the night and the texts: the SchreibNight is coming back. This time it starts at 4 pm - and participants can write, discuss or think intensively until three in the morning!
No matter what kind of writing project - final papers, term papers, lab reports or applications - the SchreibNight is there for everyone. Writing together can be immensely motivating, and those who wish can contact writing advisors in between to get feedback on what they have already written.
Workshops & Open Space
To encourage exchange among each other, SchreibNight will again include workshops and an Open Space at 1 o'clock. At the workshops (detailed list below), anyone who is currently revising their question, wants to catch the red thread, or wants to work their way out of a blockage can get ideas and try out concrete writing strategies together with others. All workshops are aimed at students for whom the topic of the respective workshop is relevant to a current writing project at the moment.
The Open Space then makes it possible to get together to exchange ideas with other students on topics of their own choosing.

For those of you who have already narrowed down their topic and would like to get feedback on their previous research question. The aim is to reflect with the help of the other participants whether your own question corresponds to your personal expectations and interests and whether it is appropriate for the scope of your written work. | 8 participants
Facilitated by: Elke Castellanos & Jazmín Covelo-Vázquez
This workshop is aimed at all participants who are just not able to get started with
writing or who are getting on. We will present
two methods each for free spirits and two for structure lovers
which can be tried out on the spot. | 10 participants
Facilitator: Vera Link
This workshop is about working on your own short pieces of text in order to work out the red thread. It is aimed at students who have already written something and would like to revise their text. | 10 participants
Facilitator: Amata Schneider-Ludorff
This workshop is intended for all those who do not want to simply string together retellings of sources when writing. In concrete terms, it is about consciously dealing with sources when reading, planning and writing and becoming clear about which sources should serve which writing goals. Attention: Citation styles are not the topic of this workshop!
Moderation: Elke Castellanos & Jazmín Covelo-Vazquez
You are asked! The Open Space offers you the opportunity to talk about your own proposed concerns on the topic of writing. The main focus is on the exchange of experiences between the participants. You will realise that you are not alone with certain problems, find out how your fellow students deal with them and thus pick up new impulses. What keeps you busy when you write?
