From 25 to 26 March 2022, the national final of the priME CUP entrepreneurship and management competition took place at the University of Rostock. The final round was organised and hosted by priME Academy AG in cooperation with the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Rostock.

In the business simulation competition priME CUP, the participating teams make entrepreneurial decisions on the foundation and further development of an innovative company, which have an impact on the individual simulation periods and on the future of the company. The goals of the interdisciplinary competition are to raise awareness of entrepreneurial thinking and action and to promote economic, social and methodological skills.

The teams that qualified for the German finals via the regional university competitions (Campus Cups) came from the University of Cologne, the University of Applied Sciences Fulda, the HdM Stuttgart, the HTWG Konstanz. In addition, a mixed team from the University of Rostock and the University of Applied Sciences Stralsund had qualified via the "inspired" ideas competition.

After an exciting competition over five simulation periods and a final presentation to a competition jury, the team led by Luka Cvrlje and David Muca from HTWG Konstanz came out on top. Second place went to Johannes Höflein and Maximilian Frese from Fulda University of Applied Sciences, followed by Melanie Weisser, Maike Lutz, Robin Biener and Manuel Beez, the second team from HTWG Konstanz. These teams have thus qualified for the next stage of the competition, the International Cup, in Switzerland.

"It was very impressive to see how committed and results-oriented the participants worked their way into the competition scenario and shared experiences between the simulation periods," says Tino Arnhold, one of the organisers from the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Rostock. "We are pleased that we were able to hold a representative and exciting competition with and at the University of Rostock as part of the 20th anniversary," adds Heiko Hammer from priME Academy AG.
