Our study programmes
The Department of Business offers three programmes with a Bachelor’s and three programmes with a Master’s degree. In addition we jointly offer additional business and engineering programmes with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and the Department of Food Technology.
Our offering is characterized by a practical and research-based education and optimal group sizes. Internationality is a fundamental element of many of our programmes.
Our master programmes have a duration of three semesters and award 90 ECTS points. If your preceding Bachelor degree is equivalent to less than 210 ECTS points we offer many options to acquire the ECTS points missing for a Master degree.
All programmes are accredited by AQAS e.V., Cologne.
International Business Administration (Bachelor of Science)
In seven semesters you will receive a broad and sound education in business administration. Distinctive features are the international orientation of the programme including a mandatory semester or internship abroad and the possibility to specialize in one of five areas.
International Business & Management (Bachelor of Science)
This programme, taught 100% in English, is the right course for high school graduates who are interested in business and economic aspects, love learning languages and want to pursue an international career. Start Winter term 2019/20.
Taxation (dual; Bachelor of Arts/ Bachelor of Laws)
This study programme prepares you for jobs in tax consulting firms, tax departments of companies and in the financial administration. You will study taxation from the perspective of finance, business administration and law and thus receive a broad, fundamental academic education.
Logistics Management (dual; Bachelor of Arts)
Together with selected industry partners we offer this programme with a clear focus on logistics. The programme spans six semesters. It is a dual programme, i.e. it combines periods of study at the university with practical periods in the firm.
Economic Law - Sustainability and Ethics (Bachelor of Laws)
Contracts do not only have to be legally well-founded but also have to make sense from a business perspective. In addition, ethical and sustainable aspects play an increasingly important role. In seven semesters this programmes these dimensions are integrated in a unique way.
Accounting, Finance, Controllership (Master of Science)
If you are interested in managerial accounting, financial reporting and corporate finance, this programme is the right choice. It focuses on areas typically required in the Chief Financial Officer’s area of responsibility.
General Management (Master of Business Administration)
In addition to imparting knowledge in the areas of human resource management, accounting and business management, the programme focuses on practical relevance and application orientation. Graduates are thus enabled to take on responsible management tasks in the area of large and medium-sized companies as well as in expert positions in management consultancy across all sectors.
International Management (Master of Science)
This broad programme focusses on the challenges of international management, e.g. opening up and developing new markets or managing global value chains. A high proportion of students from abroad contributes to the programme's international character.
Supply Chain Management (Master of Science)
This programme acknowledges the increasing importance of supply chains and logistics for the success of a company. This programme will prepare you for the new challenges created by ongoing globalization and technological progress.
