Support for future and new students
The transition from school to higher education or to start studying abroad is associated with various changes. In particular, the change from external to self-responsibility with the resulting requirements and open spaces is characteristic.
The mentoring system is a support service especially for new students and students from foreign countries. Close contact with mentors (students from higher semesters) is intended to facilitate their orientation in everyday study in general as well as in their studies at the Department of Food Technology.
Aims of the mentoring system:
- to optimize the supervision of students
- to stimulate / to encourage contact between students of various semesters
- to help in case of (initial) difficulties
- to help reduce the drop-out rate
