Research in the Fulda Graduate Centre

The Fulda Graduate Centre with a Focus on Globalisation, European Integration and Interculturality combines scientific research on socially relevant issues with an international and interdisciplinary education. The transfer between science and practice plays a special role. 

It was established on January 1, 2017 and is the first social science Doctoral Centre at a German university.

Our doctoral students research socially relevant issues from the closely interwoven subject areas of:


The projects can focus on the core area of a field as well as on cross-sectional topics.

The doctoral students work intensively together in the doctoral centre. Individual projects are further developed together in supervised research workshops, peer consultations and reading circles.
