About the study programme
The BASA online programme is aimed at professionals in the field of social work wishing to study for a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work while continuing to work. Seven universities in the BASA MAPS network currently offer an internet-based /blended learning program with monthly mandatory 2 days attendance.
This blended learning study programme consists of a mix of five campus-based study blocks each semester (Friday and Saturday) and online modules, where students are supported and supervised for their study via a learning platform.
Depending on the federal German state in which the university is located, admission requirements can differ. In Fulda students are admitted if they hold a traditional university entrance qualification (general university entrance qualification, an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences, subject-related university entrance qualification) or if they have completed (appropriate) vocational training (e.g. nursery school teacher) followed by professional experience. Admission is also possible if applicants have a vocational qualification and subsequent professional experience. Please contact our student service center in question for further information . In all cases, applicants must provide evidence that they have at least three years’ professional experience in the field of social work.
