The base for a career

A Bachelor's programme marks the first academic degree on the path to higher education and thus forms the essential basics for a professional career and further academic enterprises. Over a period of three to four years, it provides students with specialised knowledge and practical skills in addition to a comprised basic education in their chosen department. As a combination of lectures, seminars, project work and self-employed learning, the Bachelor's programme supports not only subject expertise, but also critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Adaptable to the ever-changing demands of the global labour markets, Fulda University of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of study programmes in the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, engineering and many other disciplines. With a Bachelor's degree, graduates are optimally prepared for the challenges in various professional fields or can specialise their academic career with a Master's degree. A Bachelor's programme opens doors to a wide range of career paths and lays the foundation for lifelong learning and professional success.

Fully focussed on the subject at hand: campus studies in Fulda are the right choice for anyone who wants to enjoy student life to the full - learning with fellow students, exchanging ideas with professors and getting involved with the asta on the side. The majority of our Bachelor's degrees can be completed in this traditional mode of study.

The best of both worlds: A dual study programme makes it possible to combine theory and practice. In concrete terms, this means that the university studies take place on site, while the practical placements take place at a local enterprise of your choice. Lead time is required here: for most cooperating enterprises, the application period usually begins a year before the start of programme.

Combining university studies and a professional career? Normally, this can be difficult. However, some of our study programmes are designed to do just that: study and still work full-time. In most cases, some of the teaching modules take place online, but there are also important courses on site.

Johannes, Applied Computer Science (B.Sc.)

I am very happy to have studied social work in Fulda. I learnt a lot and was able to surpass myself. My semester abroad in the Czech Republic was a formative time that I wouldn't want to have missed.
