The continuing education programme is part-time and takes place over a period of five months.

In total, the continuing education comprises 6 days of attendance (48 units in total) at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and 2 online video training sessions (8 units in total) as well as self-study phases between the courses with a learning effort of approx. 16 units.
The video training sessions in the 2nd and 4th month take place "online" in small groups (max. 5 participants per group) and allow you flexibility in terms of time and customised practice sessions with your trainers.

Baustein 1: Die Grundlagen von Motivierender Gesprächsführung

Themenfelder:

• Grundlagen Motivational Interviewing (MI-Spirit, Prozesse, Kernkompetenzen)
• Sozialpsychologische Erkenntnisse und Techniken zur Gestaltung gelingender Interaktion, Kommunikation und Motivation sowie zur Förderung des Veränderungswillens
• MI Basistechniken (OARS)
• Einführung in die Bereiche Ambivalenz erzeugen und Umgang mit Widerstand
• Vorbereitung 1. Video-Training

Baustein 2: Vertiefung der Motivierenden Gesprächsführung

• Reflexion Praxiserfahrungen und Video-Training, Wiederholung der Basistechniken
• Vertiefung "Ambivalenz erzeugen - Widerstand umlenken"
• Information und Rat geben sowie heikle Themen angemessen ansprechen
• Einführung "Veränderungsmotivation entwickeln, Vertrauen aufbauen, Veränderung unterstützen" (Change- und Confidence Talk)

Baustein 3: Professionalisierung in Motivierender Gesprächsführung

Themenfelder:

• Reflexion Praxiserfahrungen und Video-Training
• Vertiefung "Change- und Confidence Talk"
• Individuelle Ziele entwickeln, konkrete Handlungen planen, Nachhaltigkeit sichern
• Der souveräne Umgang mit komplexen Fallkonstellationen und anspruchsvollen Gesprächssituationen (z.B. starker Widerstand, psychische Erkrankungen, Suchtmittelkonsum)
• MI im Kontext von telefon-/computerunterstützter Beratung

Baustein 1 “Die Grundlagen von Motivierender Gesprächsführung” ist einzeln buchbar. Die Bausteine 2 und 3 können auch noch gebucht werden, wenn Sie den ersten Baustein bereits besuchen.

Voraussetzung für die Teilnahme an den Bausteinen 2 und 3 ist die erfolgreiche Teilnahme an Baustein 1. Sollten Sie bereits bei einem anderen Anbieter eine Weiterbildung in Motivierender Gesprächsführung absolviert haben, sprechen Sie uns gerne an. Wir prüfen eine Anrechenbarkeit.
 

For anyone who is regularly confronted with challenging conversational situations, for example in social organisations, educational institutions, administration or enterprises.

This continuing education programme is suitable for you if you:

• regularly manage challenging conversations,
• are confronted with difficult situations, accusations, missing insight or motivation in the course of counselling activities,
• have "difficult" clients, applicants and/or employees,
• act in so-called coercive contexts, as can be the case in public administration, for example,
• frequently have to address sensitive topics and critical aspects and act in conflict situations.

It is an advantage if you have several years of professional experience in one or more of the above-mentioned contexts and/or already have training or continuing education in the field of dialogue management / advisory services.

On completion of the continuing education programme in Motivational Interviewing and successful attendance at a final oral examination (20-30 minute discussion of typical MI case situations), participants receive a university certificate, which is assessed with 3 ECTS credits.
