The importance of law for social work: Our digital learning path navigates you through the basics of civil law so that you can act confidently in your field of work.

This digital learning path introduces you to the basics of civil law in social work. You will deal with the fundamental questions about the meaning of the law. You will learn how to research laws and how to deal with laws. You will develop a systematic access to the German Civil Code (BGB), which is of central importance for social work. Finally, there is an excursus on the topic of public law, which deals with the German Basic Law and the principle of the welfare state and rounds off the course.

We recommend this digital learning path to newcomers to the professional field of debt counselling with little knowledge of the law as preparation for successful attendance of the basic qualification in debt counselling.

  • You work independently and flexibly on a pre-structured online course on an electronic e-learning platform. This online course systematically and clearly introduces you to the basics of civil law in social work.
