In the dual study programme at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, the practical component is firmly integrated into your university studies. Working for your practical placement partner is an integral part of your university studies. It is important to us that you can optimally combine both sides - the theoretical courses at the university and the practical placements at the enterprise.

  • The theory takes place with courses on the campus of Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

  • You will complete your practical work at an enterprise of your choice. We offer you extensive support in finding a practical partner for your dual study programme.

After your dual study programme, you will not only have at least 3 years of professional experience, but also a state-approved university degree. Depending on the discipline, you will complete your dual study programme with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.). Admission Requirements

For the dual Bachelor's programmes , you will need an entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences or a general university entrance qualification. The dual Master's programme requires a degree qualifying for entry into a profession. The other conditions may vary depending on the study programme.

Your application for a dual study place

Enterprise

Firstly, you apply to one of our practical placement partners (step 1). You send all relevant documents, such as your transcript of records, curriculum vitae, etc., to the enterprise and go through a normal application process. If you reach an agreement with an enterprise about the dual study programme, you conclude a learning agreement (step 2).

Finally, you apply to the university (3rd step, see below).

As a rule, enterprises start the application process early, sometimes more than a year in advance. However, as not all positions can always be filled, it may be worth applying at a later stage.
