Bachelor programme

Admission to a Bachelor's degree programme requires a university entrance qualification (Abitur certificate, technical secondary school certificate, etc.). This is only verified with the final degree certificate and can be checked, which is why an application with a provisional certificate or a half-year certificate cannot be considered. A study contract, work experience, English language skills or additional internships may also be required. You can find out about such special admission requirements on the overview of all study programmes.

Master's programme

A Bachelor's degree is required for admission to a Master's degree programme. This is usually verified by means of a degree certificate and an overview of subjects and grades.
Unlike the Bachelor's programme, however, admission is also possible without a degree. You are welcome to apply if you have already achieved at least 80% of the ECTS credits required. This and the associated current average grade must be shown in the transcript of records.
There may also be restrictions in the Bachelor's degrees accepted, a minimum grade, aptitude assessment procedures or additional internships required. You can find out about such special admission requirements in the overview of all study programmes.

Higher semester

If you have already achieved academic achievements in the same or a similar degree programme at the same degree level, you can apply to us for a higher semester if necessary.
In principle, all admission requirements for the chosen degree programme must be fulfilled and proven at the time of application, e.g. at least a university entrance qualification for a Bachelor's application and a first degree for a Master's application. Admission will only be granted if all admission requirements have been met; missing documents can only be submitted up to the application deadline.

If you wish to apply for a higher semester in the Bachelor's degree programmes "International Business and Management" or "Social Work-Presence", prior registration via Hochschulstart is not required. This only applies to applications for the 1st semester.

Most study programmes at Fulda University of Applied Sciences are taught entirely in German. However, there are also study programmes that are taught exclusively in English, as well as those that require knowledge of both German and English. Please refer to the overview page of our study programmes for information on the specific language requirements of your desired study programme. If only levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages are specified there, only the certificates accepted by Fulda University of Applied Sciences will be recognised. If there are explicit specifications for certificates, only these are valid.

English language requirements

For the following study programmes, you must also register in advance on the external Hochschulstart platform. There you will receive the BID and BAN required for submitting your application via the university's internal portal or uni-assist.

International Business and Management (B.Sc.)
