Data exchange between the university and health insurance providers is exclusively electronic.

Please quote the sender number H0003119 every time you contact your health insurance provider to ensure smooth data exchange.

Transfer of health insurance provider

Statutory health insurance provider: Please forward our sender number to the new health insurance provider. Status and data will be automatically transmitted and confirmed by us.

Private health insurance: Apply for "exemption from compulsory insurance" with any statutory health insurance provider. They will then register your private status with us electronically.

Re-registration block in the event of late payment:

Risk of compulsory exmatriculation

If you are in arrears with your health insurance contributions, this will manage an automatic block on re-registration for the subsequent semester. In this case, you must clarify the arrears with your insurance provider yourself; the block will only be lifted automatically after electronic confirmation of receipt of payment by the health insurance provider.

Please act immediately, as exmatriculation will take place without this notification.

Internal change of degree programme

No new insurance certificate is required for enrolment in a new/additional study programme.
Exception: You have been exmatriculated in the meantime. In this case, the health insurance provider must report your status again electronically.
