Student user identification number

What is the user id-number?
The fd number is your user identification, which is required to log into your student account and to use the computers at the university. You received this a few days after enrolment at the email address you provided when you applied - with information on how to generate your initial password.

Where can I use my fd-number and personal password?

  • PC Labs: To log in to computers in the departments and IT Support Centre.
  • Wi-Fi: To connect to the Fulda University of Applied Sciences Wi-Fi network.
  • VPN: To connect to the university network via a VPN client.
  • horstl: To log in to the university’s online management system.
  • Learning Platforms: To sign in to your department’s electronic learning platform(s).
  • Email: To access your university email account.

All students are provided with an internal university email address. which is structured as follows:

How do I log in? 
To log in to your mailbox, use your student user identification number and the corresponding password. Information and other requests will be sent exclusively to the university email address. To ensure that you are always up to date, please check your mailbox regularly.
