Due to demographic change and the increase in lifestyle diseases such as diabetes, obesity and allergies, the need for dietetics competence will rise sharply in the coming decades.

Graduates of the additive Bachelor's programme in Dietetics are experts in diet therapy and nutritional counselling.

They work on an interdisciplinary basis at the interface for the implementation of academic findings in dietetics in practice. They develop strategies and concepts for dietetics issues. The focus is on providing individualised advisory services to patients.

Professional fields can be found in the health system, particularly in clinics and hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, nursing homes, health insurance providers, research institutions and dietetic food manufacturers.
