Education
They organise educational processes in such a way that each child can develop their individual competences.

Inclusive early childhood education is based on the international guiding principle of inclusion. The law of all children to protection, funding and participation form the basics of inclusive education. Inclusion aims to ensure that all children learn together and are able to influence all aspects of their lives. Appreciating the diversity of children and their families is the starting point for a shared education. The B.A. in inclusive early childhood education aims to support educational equality and enable every child to develop their individual competences, with a particular focus on overcoming educational disadvantage. In the study programme, students acquire extensive competences for accompanying the education and development processes of children (0 to 12 years) and designing inclusive early childhood educators.
The inclusive early childhood education study programme is aimed at people who want to qualify in the professional field of early childhood education. The study programme is aimed at
The university studies are based on the concept of blended learning and essentially pass two components: The online studies and on-campus stages at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.
For the online study programme, students receive a study letter of around 50 pages per e-learning module. Each e-learning module costs 65.00 euros. They receive tasks from the instructors to help them work through the contents of the study letter. Students also exchange ideas on an internet-based e-learning platform in a forum moderated by the instructors. The on-campus stages take place once a month as a two- to three-day block course, during which interaction and professional exchange take centre stage. One on-campus module and two to three e-learning modules are planned per semester.
Acquisitions of state recognition as an early childhood educator are integrated into the course from the 3rd to the 6th semester. At the degree level, graduates demonstrate "specialisation and aptitude for independent work in the field of early childhood education" (§ 8 para. 2, SozAnerkG, HE). Information on practical placements
At the end of their university studies, graduates therefore have 4 years of practical experience (50% position), an academic year's degree and state recognition as an early childhood educator.
In the Bachelor's degree programme in "Inclusive early childhood education" (BiB), practical integration means that all students generally work 15 to 22 hours per week as interns or specialists in facilities for early childhood education, upbringing and supervision alongside their university studies. For example, in crèches, children's day-care facilities or primary schools, for example in open all-day programmes. The BiB study programme combines learning at university with learning in early childhood education practice. Studying while integrating practice means that the knowledge acquired in university studies is used in practice from the very beginning. The practical experience is in turn reflected on with instructors and fellow students.

”I see the opportunity to incorporate theory directly into practical work as a particularly valuable aspect of university studies. Even now, in my third semester, I feel very enriched by my university studies and am looking forward to the further semesters that lie ahead.

”I think it's important to have a broad knowledge of the subject and that's one of the reasons why I'm studying BiB. I believe that the best way to support children is to be familiar with their needs and developmental phases.

”The university studies reconciled all of my interests, but also brought out many previously undiscovered resources in me. The modular structure is wonderfully successful, allowing knowledge to grow continuously and in a meaningful sequence. The academic research is first-class and is presented in a way that does not shy away from creative and unconventional solutions.

”During the first semesters, I learnt to appreciate the combination of theoretical module content and the work at the placement provider during my studies. The permanent, automatic comparison between theory and practice and the testing of inclusive educational approaches in the children's day-care facilities resulted in enormous learning successes and gains in knowledge, from which I still benefit greatly today.
