Are you looking for a commercial career as a specialist or manager in an international company? Then a degree programme in international business administration is just the thing for you.
The course takes account of increasing globalisation and provides you with the skills you need as a career starter in multinational companies.
You will spend a semester abroad during your studies to improve your foreign language skills and gain intercultural experience. The degree programme prepares you to work in intercultural teams and deal with the special features of different national markets.
The IBWL Bachelor's degree programme has a long tradition at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. It has a strong international and application-orientated focus. It has been offered in an optimised form since the 2020/21 winter semester: It extends over 7 semesters and 35 modules and includes a compulsory semester abroad, which is completed in the form of a study abroad programme or a professional internship abroad in a foreign language.
The aim of the degree programme is to provide you as a student with comprehensive knowledge of the most important content, methods, concepts and instruments of general business administration, operational functions and related disciplines and to enable you to apply these to familiar and new tasks of theoretical and practical business administration work in an international context. You benefit from small course sizes and experience internationality live through the multicultural composition of the student groups.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS - FOR A CAREER ON THE GLOBAL MARKET
With the Bachelor of Science degree, you will acquire the necessary qualifications to enter professional practice and take on management support functions or "general manager" or specialist functions. Employers include multinational corporations as well as small and medium-sized companies with an international focus (in Germany or at foreign locations), whether in industry, trade or the service sector.
The increasing globalisation of the economy shows that there is a great demand for qualified graduates with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an international focus, so that you can start your career with promising prospects.

PRACTICAL WORK EXPERIENCE ABROAD
The internship to be completed as part of the work placement programme is an alternative to studying abroad. It lasts 6 months, has an international focus and is carried out at a company or organisation in a foreign-language country. The usual working hours of a full-time employee apply.
If required, you will be supported in your search for an internship abroad by Ms Martina Langsch / Internship Department.
The internship programme is accompanied by two study seminars, during which you will be supervised by a professor. You will have successfully completed the work placement if the respective work placement office issues a certificate of successful participation in the company/organisation, you submit your work placement report on time and you have successfully participated in the study seminars accompanying the work placement.
You can find out what this means in detail in Annex 3 (Regulations for the practical work placement programme) to the examination regulations.
If you have any questions about the internship abroad, please contact Mrs Martina Langsch / Praxisreferat.
