Career
Lay the foundation for a career in healthcare with this degree programme.

Vocational training in the healthcare sector is just the start of a personal career - the Bachelor's degree programme in "Management in Healthcare" is the right second step for a secure professional future.
The degree programme builds on the skills and experience gained during vocational training in order to expand them with management knowledge. This takes you to the next level of qualification, enabling you to take on management functions, for example as a divisional manager.
The broad range of courses also enables you to enter the various functional areas in administration, such as personnel management, marketing, quality management or occupational health management.
Management in healthcare is more than just thinking and acting economically in healthcare facilities. It is more than the application of business administration knowledge in the healthcare sector. It is a systematic, scientifically based approach to the conceptualisation, implementation, evaluation and adaptation of management tasks in the healthcare sector. The economic interests of healthcare facilities in terms of effectiveness and efficiency must be balanced with social concerns regarding quality of life and quality of care.
It is about implementing a vision: to contribute to patient-centred, participative and resource-promoting care that is both economically sensible and responsible.
The degree programme at Fulda University of Applied Sciences is interdisciplinary and practice-oriented, often with forms of project or problem-oriented learning, guest lectures, projects and an internship. Health, business and management science knowledge is taught in equal measure.
You study full-time with attendance phases from Monday to Wednesday. Experience has shown that you can work up to ten hours a week on the side without affecting your performance.
