Business Law - Sustainability and Ethics (Bachelor)

Business Law - Sustainability and Ethics

The Bachelor's programme "Economic Law - Sustainability and Ethics" offers students training related to practice on an academic basis.
It trains subjects and managers who combine legal and Business Sciences knowledge and skills. Key qualifications and knowledge of sustainability and ethics complement this academic pathway. As a result, graduates have a special qualification that meets the needs of the labour market and sets them apart.

Legal and business management knowledge are combined to provide sound legal and economic training. Communication skills paired with management and social competences complement this specialist knowledge. Sustainability and ethics in law and business round off this study programme.

As a result, graduates acquire the ability to operate in the field of tension between law and business. As all-rounders, they can equally well conclude a contract or read a balance sheet. For many employers, it is ideal to appoint business lawyers who can understand and comprehend both legal and business management thinking.

Knowledge of sustainability and ethics complements this skill. Business lawyers make decisions in the area of conflict between law and business and take responsibility - for the society of today and tomorrow. Sustainability serves to maintain a permanently stable society. Economic, ecological and social goals are regarded as equally important. Being sustainable goes hand in hand with responsibility for future generations with a global reach. Ethics deals with the motives and consequences of human behaviour. The criteria for the assessment of decisions are based on the values and norms of a society and in turn influence these. Especially in the area of conflict between law and business, it is important to make important decisions and take responsibility - in a sustainable and ethical manner. Our graduates are prepared for this.

This equips our graduates for the challenges they will face in their professional appointments - trained in the simultaneous application of legal and business management thinking while taking social aspects into account.

The study programme is offered in cooperation between the departments of business, social work and social and cultural sciences.

Successful completion of the study programme leads to the Bachelor's degree "Bachelor of Laws" (LL.B.)
