Intercultural and culture reflexive competences are today identified as professional competences that are considered indispensable in today's professional world. A culture reflexive approach to interculturality as a fixed module in the curriculum is weighted differently depending on the degree programme in higher education. The learning and teaching structures of the departments also vary. Fulda University of Applied Sciences would like to support every student beyond curricular knowledge in developing interdisciplinary professional competences.Furthermore, cultural differences and discussions concerning culturally diverse experiences should be recognised as an added value in students' everyday lives. A culturally reflective mindset would thus be considered an enrichment. Here is an overview of the various facilites and events for students of all origins and subject areas.

Become a "culture reflexive" peer-facilitator!
The culture reflexive peer-facilitator training addresses students (third semester onwards) who are culturally reflective and have already acquired a sound knowledge of interculturality and intercultural theories during their studies and are interested in gaining initial experience as an culture reflexive facilitator.
During the training, you will be taught basic methodological and didactic skills so that you can independently design and conduct a compact culturally reflective training session. As a qualified "culture reflexive" peer-facilitator, you will have the opportunity to conduct small-scale culturally reflective sessions for your peers in different faculties with the support of the intercultural coordinator at Fulda University of Applied Sciences. In this way, you can acquire facilitation experience in conducting "culture reflexive" workshops during your studies. The activity can be remunerated via a student assistant contract.
