Within the framework of quality assurance, one of the tasks of the university is to determine the success of learning and teaching and to identify potential for optimisation. The evaluation of learning and teaching is an essential part of the university's internal quality management. The basis for this are the Statutes for the Evaluation (German only) and Implementation Regulations for the Evaluation of Teaching, Learning and Academic Continuing Education at Fulda University of Applied Sciences (German only). At the various levels of learning and teaching, evaluations are intended to serve as a feedback instrument for self-reflection on the one hand and to contribute to the profiling of the study programmes and thus also of the departments as well as the university as a whole on the other:
The central coordination of evaluation at Fulda University of Applied Sciences by the DLS division essentially comprises the scientific support and further development of evaluation, academic advice on evaluation issues and, in particular, a comprehensive scientific evaluation service for teaching and learning. Networking
We are well networked with other actors in evaluation, both regionally and nationally. Within the framework of the Evaluation Network of Hessian Universities, experiences, trends and problems are exchanged and discussed at regular intervals. Furthermore, Fulda University of Applied Sciences is an institutional member of the German Evaluation Society (DeGEval) and is represented in its Working Group on Higher Education Institutions and in the Ad hoc Group on Data Protection. In addition to the exchange of experience and mutual networking, the focus here is also on the academic discourse on evaluation. On a direct practical level, we are in constant exchange with other evasys users through our presence at the evasys conference and in the evasys community.
