The Fulda University of Applied Sciences has a very good infrastructure and central support services for digitally supported teaching and learning. However, there is a lack of digital
competence development regarding interactive, practice-oriented teaching. Therefore, a participatory approach is required that that is led from within the subjects - by teachers, students and supporting institutions.

In order to promote digitally supported teaching and to create sustainable structures within the departments, examples of successful digitally supported teaching and learning formats will be identified and subsequently, innovations derived. Complemented by learning concepts, this will enable to gradually and strategically further the development of digitalisation in teaching.

In addition, testing and transfer of innovative, digitally supported teaching and learning approaches enable adaptations of hybrid teaching and learning arrangements that are individually adapted to the particular learning objectives and may consist of (media) didactic methods, technical tools, (self-study) materials and teaching and learning environments. Thus enabling both the expansion of spatial and temporal flexibility as well as the provision of improved student access to the professional world and virtual practical experience.
