Fuldimates let discs fly over the Main

Würzburg. Twelve Ultimate Frisbee teams met at the two-day fly tournament on 2.2/3.2.2019. The team from Fulda also took part with a mix of experienced Ultimate Frisbee players and beginners.
The games were played in the sports hall of the University of Würzburg. A total of twelve teams consisting of students from the respective college or university took part.
In Ultimate Frisbee, two teams of five players each play against each other. The goal is to score a point by catching the disc in the opponent's "score zone". The twelve-strong team from Fulda started the tournament highly motivated and having fun.
They were divided into the early pool with opponents from Munich, Bayreuth, Erlangen, Würzburg and Stuttgart, among others. The Fuldimates played a total of seven games spread over two days. In the first games, the offence could still be improved, which meant that points were missing in the end to achieve victory. Despite the continuous mode, the defence was able to set the zone quickly again and again. In the game against Würzburg, Fulda was in the lead for a long time. However, due to some unfortunate drops, the team had to admit defeat with a final score of 5:6.
The tournament not only enriched the Fuldimates' game, but also brought them closer together as friends.
The Fuldimates would like to thank all the teams for the great, fair games and the host for organising this tournament (Text: T. Bischof).
