Further training

Winter semester 2025/26

Would you like to find out more about the purpose, effect and structure of FiduS (Fit through university studies) exercise breaks in seminars and lectures? Would you like to lead exercise breaks at our university yourself and earn some extra money on the side? Then register for the next University Sports training course. Under the guidance of University Sports employees, the training course will deal with the question of why exercise breaks make sense, what needs to be considered when implementing them and what implementation looks like in concrete terms. The training participants will be enabled to lead movement breaks in digital and/or face-to-face (teaching) courses themselves. Numerous practical practice classes will be taught and each participant will lead a break themselves towards the end of the further education programme.

Next training course: 22 October & 5 November 2025 (2x from 15:00-19:00)

Location: Seminar room - university campus (information on registration)

For registration and further information. If you have any questions, please contact fidus(at)hs-fulda.de.

Planning is the starting point for every sports unit. It is largely based on didactic principles. In this seminar, you will be introduced to the basics of a sports session in a way that is related to practice. The aim is for you to be able to structure a session effectively and to know exactly what content and methods you can use for what purpose and how. At the end of the seminar, you should be able to evaluate and reflect on why one sports session was particularly well received by your participants, while another may have been less successful.

Leisure activities for a balanced study programme

Location: Seminar room - university campus (information upon registration)

Speaker:  TK expert (Dr Jan Ries - sports scientist, university sports expert and lecturer at various universities)

Digital detox: movement instead of virtual worlds

It is NOT about either/or, but about the balance between virtual worlds and the real/physical world. Finding a balance is the basic principle behind everything we do. Digital media have become an integral part of everyday (student) life. Social networks, digital exchange or digital courses, gaming worlds, knowledge platforms, AI tools, digital self-presentation and much more determine daily routines, learning and working behaviour and leisure activities. Curse and blessing are closely linked - even with this technical achievement.

Date: 14 January 2026

Location: Seminar room - university campus (information upon registration)

Speaker:  TK expert (Dr Jan Ries - sports scientist, university sports expert and lecturer at various universities)
