Paragliding excursion organised by Fulda University of Applied Sciences and Mittelhessen University of Applied Sciences

The "Paragliding" excursion organised by the university sports departments of the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and the Hochschule Fulda in the Allgäu once again exceeded all expectations. Within just five days, the students taking part in the basic course learnt the most important techniques for donning, inflating, running, taking off, steering and landing. The basic theoretical content on material, air law and weather was also taught.
The first flights were already made on the second day, during which they took off from the ground. The 15 pilots learnt quickly, and from day 4 onwards they were taken to the higher "Panorama" slope, where there are around 100 metres in altitude between take-off and landing. The flight instructors from the Markus Milz flight school and all participants were extremely satisfied with the group's development, so that nothing stood in the way of obtaining the first licence level.

After the morning flying sessions, an optional supporting programme was organised by the university excursion supervisors, including trips to the Hinanger waterfall and the Breitachklamm gorge. This encouraged group dynamics and rounded off the excursion as a special university sports programme.

The next paragliding excursion is expected to take place in August 2026. Registration via the university sports programme.
