Training course for HSP practical supervisors on 23 & 24 January 2026

Last weekend, University Sports organised a training course on the topic of "Safety in University Sports" in collaboration with Unfallkasse Hessen. The aim was to sensitise practical supervisors to safety aspects in sport and provide them with practical tools.

Participants gained a comprehensive knowledge of statutory accident insurance, typical causes of accidents and how to avoid them. One specialisation of the training course was the analysis of accident examples and the provision of concrete recommendations for accident prevention. In addition to the theoretical content, a practical unit demonstrated targeted warm-ups for various sports. The practical supervisors also had the opportunity to carry out a safety check in the sports hall. All of this was demonstrated in the context of table tennis and park pong*.

The training course is organised regularly to ensure the high safety standards in our University Sports. The next course is already being planned for the 2026/2027 winter semester. As soon as the date is finalised, the details will be available at the link below.
