Two University Sports groups at the final sports badge event in Petersberg

The closing ceremony for the sports badge competition took place in the Propsteihaus in Petersberg on 27 February 2026. Numerous guests from the region came to honour the social services: benefits of the past year. An impressive total of 7,173 sports badges were taken in 2025 - a strong sign of the importance of popular sport in the region.

As part of the course, two street style dancing groups from Fulda University of Applied Sciences also had the opportunity to showcase their skills on stage. With a lot of energy and expression, the performances provided a modern and varied interlude in the program and delighted the audience.

The programme kicked off with the "Street Style Dancing - Beginners" group, led by dance coach Josephine Erbse. The group has been training once a week at University Sports since October 2025, where they learn the basics of urban dance styles such as technique, coordination and initial choreography. During their performance, the dancers impressed above all with their team spirit and enjoyment of dancing. The "Street Style Dancing - Performance" group, also under the direction of Josephine Erbse, then presented an expressive choreography. The dancers have different levels of previous experience and emphasise charisma, precision and plenty of power in their training.

For both groups, the performance was a great opportunity to show what they had learnt in front of an audience and to perform together as a team on stage.
