30th Fulda Marathon 2025

More than 30 runners - 27 half-marathon runners and 4 city runners to be precise - took part in the 30th anniversary of the Fulda Marathon for the university!

Prof Dr Matthias Friedrich from the ET department came 5th in the individual classification with a time of 1:15:56!

In the half marathon team classification (women), these 4 women achieved 1st place: Daniela Aguilar (1:29:08), Frederike Beyer (1:31:06), Anne Anton (1:43:18) and Jule Herterich (1:43:53).

In the half marathon team classification (mixed), the following 4 runners made it to 2nd place: Matthias Friedrich (see above), Philipp Mohr (1:25:05), Afizi Halim (1:28:07), Daniela Aguilar (see above)

It has to be said that the course was unfortunately a little shorter - whatever the reason for this: after the one planned final lap through the stadium, it was only just over 19 km at the finish - according to the feedback from some runners who had tracked the course themselves. That's why some of them did up to 6 extra laps of the stadium to complete the full 21.1 km...

Our 4 runners finished in 3rd place in the 5 km City Run team ranking: Anika Attendorn (29:59), Antonia Würtz (30:07), Anna Höfler (35:04) and Chiara Sers (35:05).

Congratulations on your great times and rankings!

After a starting lap through the stadium, the half marathon course ran twice on the same track through Fulda-Auen and the city centre, including the castle park.

All 31 starters from Fulda University of Applied Sciences crossed the finish line and it was a great day of running in pleasant temperatures and beautiful September sunshine!

Many thanks to everyone who took part on behalf of Fulda University of Applied Sciences! You were great! We look forward to seeing you again at the 31st Fulda Marathon, as well as anyone else who might be interested!
