Take-off in 3...2...1...

From 8 to 12 August, members of the Technical University of Central Hesse (THM) and Fulda University of Applied Sciences met in Sonthofen in the Oberallgäu region for a beginner’s course in paragliding.

Over the course of five days, under the guidance of experienced flight instructors from the Markus Milz Flight School, the participants learnt the basic techniques for putting on, launching, steering and landing a paraglider.
On the second day, they made their first attempts at taking off from a slope. On the fourth and fifth days, the group finally moved on to higher terrain for further and higher flights.
In the end, all participants completed the first licence level in paragliding with great enjoyment and new movement-experiences.

To complement the course, employees from THM and Fulda University of Applied Sciences offered an (optional) social programme to explore the region.
