Registration and participation conditions

Eligible persons

Eligibility to participate in the General University Sports programme is primarily restricted to students and other members (staff, trainees, pre-college programme participants) of Fulda University of Applied Sciences. People from outside the university (e.g. guests, auditors, pre-study participants, lecturers) may only participate in a few selected courses and to a very limited extent. Places are allocated primarily to students.

By registering for an offer of the University Sports, the interested person declares that he or she is physically and mentally able to participate in the event. The University Sports administration is available for queries regarding special sports-specific requirements.

With the registration for digital University Sports offers, the participant ensures that he/she has the necessary technical equipment and a sufficiently stable internet connection. By registering, the participant also assures that he/she will adhere to the netiquette and that he/she will observe the information on accident insurance protection.

Fees

Please refer to the advertisement of the respective offer for the course fees. The University Sports Department reserves the right to offer reduced prices for remaining places in selected courses after the start of the course.

Payment / SEPA-BASIS Direct Debit Scheme

The University Sports Department of Fulda University of Applied Sciences uses the SEPA direct debit system. With the registration you agree to the debiting of the course fee and the mandate for the collection is given.

The direct debits will be made at the beginning of each month - you will receive an email a few days beforehand. With your registration and the associated confirmation of the registration and participation conditions of the Hochschulsport, you accept the SEPA basic direct debit procedure.

In the event of a failed direct debit procedure due to the provision of incorrect bank details or an uncovered account, the bank will demand administrative fees of up to € 5 per direct debit attempt, which we will pass on to you.

Your bank details will be automatically deleted from the system after booking.

Registration

Registration takes place online and is binding. You will find the registration button at the bottom of the page of the respective course description. Registration is also mandatory for free courses. Only registered participants are entitled to take part in the course. Checks are carried out.

In the case of fully booked courses, the registration function is blocked and it is possible to register on a waiting list in order to be informed by e-mail of course places that become free.

When registering online, personal data is collected that is required for the purposes of course administration and is processed exclusively for this purpose.

Demonstrably false personal data will result in exclusion from the course and, if applicable, additional payment and/or exclusion from participation in all University Sports programmes.

In the event of written cancellation by email or post (date of receipt stamp) up to 5 working days before the start of the course, we will refund 100% of the course fees (Saturday does not count as a working day). After the start of the course, withdrawal with entitlement to a pro rata refund of fees can only take place for health reasons (on presentation of a medical certificate). The medical certificate must be submitted to the University Sports Office within 5 days of issue, otherwise a refund is no longer possible. The share of the course fees that is refunded is staggered according to the share of the course expiry (see table). Course expiry is calculated on the basis of the date of issue of the certificate. However, we retain a minimum of €10 processing fee in each refund case. Refunds will always be paid to your account at the end of the semester.
